What games will I play during the holidays? (Subjective ranking)

The vacation begins, and what follows is a wave of heat, heatstrokes, and at every turn legions of mosquitoes try to devise a strategy on how to fill every exposed inch of your body with bites. And when, under these romantic circumstances, you are done pretending that physical activity is the only right form of rest, let me invite you to be inspired by the subjective ranking of games perfect for vacation. I should warn you that this is not a ranking of novelties or the best-rated games. It is a ranking of proposals I intend to play and I hope that any of the items will convince you to look into it. Let’s get started.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

Fall Guys has been on the market since 2020, but in recent days the game has experienced a veritable renaissance. With the game’s debut on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox, Mediatonic, following in the footsteps of many other developers, moved the game to Free to Play. And it began. 20 million new players in two days, causing server crashes. It’s impossible not to hear about the game by turning on any media. How did I find out? Since the day of the release of this candy Battle Royale game, my boyfriend tells me about it every day. “Asia, it’s like the Squid Game in the world of Nintendo!” And how not to try it after such an encouraging description?

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Now please don’t roll your eyes and listen to me in peace. For the past month, I have been listening non-stop to the excellent Witcher radio plays from Audioteka. Absorbed in the stories of Andrzej Sapkowski, I decided over the vacations to catch up and play the second part of this iconic game. I don’t even know if I should introduce the game because most likely everyone who reads this article knows more about it than I do. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is an action RPG.  We are introduced to the storyline by the plot of a foiled assassination attempt on King Foltest. And as befits a white-haired wolf, he quickly becomes entangled in a political intrigue on which the fate of the world depends. Considering that on March 21 of this year CD Projekt studio announced the creation of a new Witcher saga, maybe the vacations are a good time to refresh yourself with older items?

Overcooked

Unlike the previous two items, I have played this game more than once, and I think there is no better tool to test the quality and fit of a relationship. This unusual cooperative game, produced by the British studio Ghost Town Games, takes us to the Onion Kingdom, which is in danger, and only our dexterity, speed, and ability to cooperate depends on whether we can save it. The game can be played with as many as 4 people which is perfect for holiday parties with friends. I guarantee you, that this game is exciting at the highest level, and passing higher and higher levels of difficulty will make your heart beat faster.

Minecraft

I’m turning 24 next week and I’m not ashamed of my endless love for Minecraft. I pay my love and tribute to this game regularly with blog posts:

Minecraft is an open-world survival game created by Markus Persson and developed by Mojang Studios. The game currently has 5 game modes: survival mode, creative mode, adventure mode, spectator mode, and Hardcore mode. Each of these modes provides a completely different type of gameplay and you can adjust the game to whatever mood you are in at the moment. I play Minecraft most often in survival mode on a co-created server with a group of friends, which allows us to have adventures together. Why is this game perfect for vacations? Most of my friends live in different cities scattered all over the country, meeting on the server is one of the few opportunities for us to talk to each other regularly. Vacations are also different, we don’t always manage to meet up, so I appreciate that the game gives us this opportunity. I know there will be criticisms, but I think Minecraft is one of the most valuable games I’ve ever played. In the end, I will show off some pictures from our server.

I wish you a nice holiday. Enjoy the sun and beautiful weather as much as you can, and when you are sunburned and bitten by mosquitoes fire up some cool game! Greetings!
